The spiders dispersed after having a couple of attacks thrown in. Yes. But then, something happened. Something bad. There was also...a giant queen spider that she and Amber will have to deal with. A very giant spider indeed. She began to shiver a little with fear. Who knew that this spider could make a person scared this easily. Chanting another spell incantation allowed another small tornado to take its place flying in the spider's direction. The giant spider was the only present threat that could deliver powerful attacks to the duo, but fire was enough to stop it in its tracks. She hoped that it was enough to bring it down, otherwise there would be trouble for the lumberjacks working in the woods.

The Spider Queen waited for the fire to disperse itself which was only in a few minutes. The two mere morsels stood before her, hunger setting in. She could tell they were weak and frightened. She wanted to play with her food for a bit. She span a web for the fun and sat there plotting for a few moments

Did that goddamn spider just spin a web and sat there plotting for a few minutes? Not only that, but she was quite weakened and the spider was probably hungry. Hungry for human flesh, no doubt. Still, it looked like she had to either keep fighting or try to convince her to join the team. Maybe talking to the spider might get its merits, but she figured that spiders would probably have their own way of communication. She ceased fighting and tried to think of a way to convince it somehow. Maybe the queen spider will understand her and possibly join in the team if it was successful. She chanted another spell incantation which summoned another small tornado at the spider. She wouldn't kill it afterwards, but try to recruit it for the sake of the other spiders.

The Queen's web began to shake violently but still held together strong. The queen also began to move rapidly around the edges of her web spraying more webs in the nearby area's so that the entire are was entrapped in her web. Alice and Amber tried to hold out but it didn't look like they would last much longer. The queen began jumping web to web at an extremely fast speed, finally jumping right at Alice

There was no time left as the spider began to make her move. The pyromancer next to her probably had been weakened and was about to collapse, but there was only one thing she could do. Try communicating to the spider, but don't kill her. Yes, that spider might have to die as she was part of the mission, but she thought about all those motherless little spiders and what they'll do if they didn't have a mother. That mother wouldn't be there to nourish and care for them and that reminded her of her father and her missing mother. Perhaps, this spider might be a good addition to the team, provided that she could be trained to be tame and attack when ordered to. She knew that the pyromancer was tired, but she just had to hold on until the spider could be convinced. "Hi there. I'm not going to fight you anymore, but if you'll just stop fighting, I think we could come to an agreement. You see, I can't kill you since you have all those spiders to take care of, but I think you'll make a good companion. So, what do you say to that?" It felt weird to actually talk to a giant spider, but if that doesn't work, then another form of communication will be needed.

The Queen stopped right in her tracks. The queen stared right into Alice's eyes with her many eyes confused as too why the girl didn't attack. She thought the girl might be trying to cast a spell because her mouth began moving but there was no magical aura showing. The queen backed up and waited to see what would happen next.

Oh look, the spider stopped moving and was just...confused. Maybe talking to her further will make her understand what was going on. Or maybe she could try singing to the spider. Wait, maybe that's the only way to communicate to it. She tried to think of a way to maybe soothe with her song and there was an idea for it. With a deep breath, she began to sing.
My father and mother gone from my life They just simply disappeared While my father just passed away My mother wasn't here
They were just good parents to me They were not really bad Now and then, I just sit And ask myself why
Why did they leave? Why did they go? Why didn't they tell me That they know
The cult just slain My entire village I wanted revenge
Let it go Let it go That cult must pay for what they've done
Let it go Let it go I'll see to them that they'll pay
I don't care For the cultists' lives Let the squalls rage on The wind never bothered me anyway

The Queen now out of confusion was now entranced by the sound of her voice. It was purely mesmerizing, something in her words captivated the queen. She slowly moved to the middle of her web and became very sedentary as Alice continued...

Oh, that's good. The spider seemed to be calm now, but there was no time to stop. Perhaps, the spider would be completely calmed down if there was more to the song that can be sung. After all, she could be possibly swayed by the meaning of the song anyway. She continued to sing, not that Amber would've noticed that she was actually singing a song from her own creative mind.
It's funny how some people Had never been depressed And the sadness that once controlled me Can't get to me at all
It's time to see what I can do To test out my winds And tornadoes too No right, no wrong, no rules for me I'm free
Let it go Let it go I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go Let it go You'll never see me cry
I don't care For the cultists' lives Let the squalls rage on
My power gusts throughout the forested land My soul is spiraling in windy blusters all around And one thought rushes like a stormy gale I'm never going back The past is in the past
Let it go Let it go I'll rise like a hurricane
Let it go Let it go That sorrowful girl is gone
I don't care For the cultists' lives Let the squalls rage on The wind never bothered me anyway

The Mesmerized Queen began to loose her grip on her web from not paying attention. She ended up falling on her back, unable to get up. She tried rolling but the trees were in her way. The queen lied there as the song ended...

And now the spider had fallen on he back and there she was. Helpless and possibly vulnerable to her tornadoes. As long as she had been mesmerized by the sound of her singing, it was okay. Amber was probably going to try to kill the spider, but the thought of all those little spiders without a mother had been depressing. Not to mention that she could feel that she lost someone that she cared for like her parents too. Singing that song had never been more poignant, but now was the time to help a spider out in need. "Amber, I'm going to have you help her get back up on her feet. It seems that she can't get up until we push her." With that being said, she ran to where the spider queen was and pushed with all her might. Even if she was already weak and hungry, she had to help a helpless giant spider nonetheless.

They managed to get the spider on a 90 degree angle before the spider fell right back on its back and on top of them. The two were crushed for the moment and the spider queen was still unable to move. How unfortunate!

The spider was almost on its back and it fell back down, rendering the duo unable to move. Also, the spider was still stuck on its back. Bummer. But then, an idea just formed. Maybe some of her tornadoes could take them up into the air and land safely. She conjured up some tornadoes to lift both the duo and spider up into the air. That idea was probably best since air could probably move heavy objects and let them land safely. Plus, the spider needed help getting back up, so it wasn't that bad. She was concerned for Amber's safety though as the weight could've crushed her, but thankfully the spider didn't crush them to death somehow.

The Queen in the midst of the tornado ended up back on her web and watched as the two girls fell back to the ground. She couldn't tell what kind of opponents they were but they didn't seem like the brightest. They had multiple opportunities to slay the queen of the giant spiders but instead they sung and they tried to tame the queen of all the spiders they could have gone after. The queen, tired of these games began to prepare for an attack that would easily wipe those two out. She moved so that she was directly over them about to jump.
